Athletic Academic Services
The Office of Athletic Academic Services serves over 400 scholarship and walk-on student-athletes. The
staff consists of nine professional staff members, three graduate assistants, a cadre of tutors and
mentor staff members, and clerical support. Athletic Academic Services serves Texas Tech University
student-athletes by focusing on the following three areas:
- Supplying student-athletes with a positive academic experience
- Preparing student-athletes for life after sports
- Providing academic support programs
To do this, we offer students various support programs that are divided into four main areas:
- Student Services
- Academic Support
- Retention, Recruitment, & Recognition
- Career Planning & Placement
