NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT PROCEDURES

Step 1Complete a prospective student-athlete information card and return to Matt Pickering.
 
Step 2Matt will forward a copy of Texas Tech's admissions and graduation rate data to the prospect and to the prospect's parents. (Please allow enough time prior to the signing date for Matt to forward the information).
 
Step 3Your designated person will complete the National Letter of Intent form and Statement of Financial Aid from the NLI disk and return to Carrie Lowe. (Three copies of each are required)
 
Step 4Carrie will obtain required Director of Athletics' & Director of Financial Aid's signatures on all three forms and verify that the prospect meets the requirements to sign the Letter of Intent.
 
Step 5Upon verification and signatures, forms will be returned to the appropriate sport.
 
Step 6Each sport is responsible for distributing these forms to the prospective student-athlete.
 
Step 7Once the appropriate sport obtains a signed National Letter Intent and Financial Aid Agreement, the complete original forms are to sent to Carrie for the final Big 12 Conference and Texas Tech institutional filing requirements. All three copies of the NLI and Statement of Financial Aid must be signed individually. (Please note, you will need to make a zerox copy of the NLI and Financial Aid Agreement for your records prior to forwarding the two original forms to Carrie)
