The stadium's majestic beauty on the outside is the perfect façade for a rowdy and terrific game day experience that lies within its walls. Texas Tech has expanded the stadium four times in the last decade and capacity reached 60,454 with the completion of the new east stadium building that opened in the fall of 2010.
Jones AT&T Stadium is home to 84 luxury suites and 1,644 club seats located in two different buildings on the east and west sides. The luxury suites are some of the finest in the nation in both collegiate and professional venues.
The stadium floor consists of FieldTurf and is the prime playing surface for Texas Tech's wide open offense and bone crushing defense. A new 1,500 square foot video screen was installed in the north end zone in 2010 and plans for a mega-sized screen are in the works.

Stadium Naming Rights

The stadium was officially renamed from Jones Stadium to Jones SBC Stadium in 2000 following major corporate gifts (in excess of $25 million) from SBC Communications (now AT&T). The stadium was renamed again in 2006 to Jones AT&T Stadium after SBC Communications formally changed its name to AT&T.
The "Jones" in Jones Stadium comes from former Texas Tech president Clifford B. Jones and his wife Aubrey. The stadium was named in their honor upon its opening in 1947.
