While the spot on campus has long been home to Texas Tech's nationally prominent men's and women's track & field teams, the Terry and Linda Fuller Track & Field Complex was officially christened in 2009.

Facility Surface and Features
|
Major renovations completed in 2009 make it one of the most unique facilities in the nation.
The Super Mondo X surface, first used at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and one of the fastest track surfaces in the world, was installed. Sprint lanes, pole vault pits, high jump, long and triple jump pits were relocated to the middle of the oval track. A separate throwing area bookends the main track and field areas and both include ample fan seating, viewing and parking areas.
The facility, which played host to its first major competition at the 2009 Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, sits near the baseball stadium and is centrally located on the campus proper and is located to the north of the sprawling Tech campus.
