If golf is your game and the Red Raiders are your team, then the 15th Annual Red Raider Open is where you need to be on June 2.
The Red Raider Open, hosted by the Red Raider Club, is a one-day golf tournament that benefits the Red Raider Scholarship Fund and provides annual assistance to nearly 400 student-athletes.
"The Red Raider Open is always an exciting time to play a great round of golf for a special cause, particularly this year as we've moved the event to the outstanding Rawls Course," said Associate AD/Amy Heard. "We've worked hard with our partners and The Rawls Course to make sure this is an event that provides extreme value to our donors and fans, while allowing everyone to mix and mingle with other Red Raiders including our coaching staffs and administration."
This year's Red Raider Open will be held at The Rawls Course on Saturday, June 2 and registration is now open. The tournament is open to anyone interested in supporting Texas Tech Athletics and is priced at $280 per team and $75 for individuals. Fees include: green fee, cart, range balls, on-course beverages (four tickets), lunch and a voucher for two football game tickets to the season opener vs. Northwestern State on Sept. 1. The tournament will be organized as a four-person scramble with prizes for a hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin and longest drive.
"Saturday, June 2 will be a fun day," said Heard. "Registering early will be importance for fans that have always participated and plan to do so again this year. For fans that can't attend but want to support this effort, gifts can be sent directly to the Red Raider Club marked "Red Raider Open."
The Red Raider Open is annually a "Who's-Who" of Texas Tech Athletics with head coaches, assistant coaches, athletics administration as well as former coaches and players.
