Softball Stadium

A new softball stadium will be built for the Texas Tech University Red Raiders women's softball team. The Stadium will provide a variety of seating opportunities with possible future expansion, spectator amenities, press/VIP facilities, and locker room / support facilities. The field will be oriented on a northwest - southeast axis to match the orientation of Dan Law Field. Field lighting will provide the required light levels for nationally televised games.

The Stadium will seat 1,800 with a future expansion to 2,600. Accessible seating will be provided at all levels. Spectator amenities will include toilet, concession, novelty, and concession facilities. The press/VIP facility will provide space for media and private suite boxes. Support facilities will house team and coaches locker rooms, officials, maintenance, and game equipment.

The architectural style of the stadium will respond to that of surrounding campus buildings. The "Spanish Renaissance" will be found in the entry 'arch.' the facade wrapping the stadium, and the roof enclosure (if required) covering a portion of the seating from first to third base. The facade and roof will provide protection from the elements, enhancing the game day experience for the fans.

This stadium will provide a much needed softball venue for the Texas Tech Athletic Department. The revenue generating possibilities and enhancement of the surrounding campus will make this stadium one of the finest venues of its kind in the country.
