- With a win on Monday, the Lady Raiders earned the No. 8 seed in the Big 12 Championship and will face No. 9 seed TCU on Friday at 6 p.m.
- Friday's game marks the 50th meeting between Texas Tech and TCU. The Lady Raiders lead 41-8 in the all-time series and hold a 7-1 record when playing at a neutral site. The last time the two teams met at a neutral site was on March 7, 2014, in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament.
- The two teams split the series this season with wins on their home courts.
- The Lady Raiders improved to 13-16 on the season, 5-13 in the Big 12 after defeating TCU, 79-64, on Monday. Tech finished 8th in the conference and clinched the No. 8 seed for the tournament. Junior Larryn Brooks led the team with a career-high 21 points.
