Red Raider Life Skills
Texas Tech University joined the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills program in the summer of 1998. During the fall, Tech created the Red Raider Life Skills program modeled from the NCAA parent program.
Texas Tech University is committed to providing programming to encourage and strengthen the personal, academic, and athletic development of all student-athletes. The goal is the successful integration of the student-athlete into the various Communities - the athletic community, the campus community, the city community, the regional community, and, eventually, the world community. Our mission is to create a more positive collegiate experience for the student-athlete, as well as promote the whole person via programs in each of the Life Skills components.
The fulfillment of this mission necessarily depends upon members of the athletic, academic, campus, and city communities.
