Mark Finkner begins his 8th season patrolling the Texas Tech Sideline for the network in 2005. Finkner is the program director for the flagship station of the Red Raiders, SportsRadio 1340, KKAM and hosts a two-hour talk-show, The Café, with Jim G. weekdays 11 am to 1 pm. He will begin his 11th year as the voice of Red Raider Baseball in 2006 and has also been the fill-in play-by-play man for Texas Tech Men's Basketball. In his 16 years of radio, Finkner has won 3 statewide awards for his play-by-play work. Mark resides in Lubbock with his wife of 7 years, Jennifer, and the couple's one-year old daughter, Landry.

A name synonymous with sports on the South Plains, John Harris, the voice of Red Raider basketball, enters his 20th season of Red Raider football on the airwaves. Harris began his association with Texas Tech football on radio in 1984 as a color analyst with broadcasting legend Jack Dale. He has sat in the anchor position at all three Lubbock television stations and retired from anchoring at KAMC-TV in May 2000. In 1997, the Associated Press awarded Harris with "Best Sportscast in Texas" honors.

Ryan Hyatt first called Lady Raider Basketball during the 1988-89 season. He became the first full-time voice of the Lady Raiders in 1991-92 as the Lady Raiders had every game that year broadcast on a commercial station/network for the first time. Hyatt has served as the voice of the Lady Raiders for every season since 1993. In addition to his work with the Lady Raiders, Hyatt has called Texas Tech Baseball action over the years as well as doing work with the Tech football and men's basketball networks as well as working Texas Tech Volleyball matches on radio and TV in the early 1990's. Hyatt also owns his own broadcasting company, producing The Williams and Hyatt Show, a daily sports call-in show from 4-7 each afternoon on SportsRadio 1340 KKAM. Hyatt has won numerous awards over the years, the latest from the Texas Association of Broadcasters for his call during the 2004 Lady Raider game vs. Texas.

Hyatt enjoys playing guitar (poorly), fly-fishing(again, poorly) as well as Texas history and taking in live music whenever and where ever.

Hyatt is married to Ropesville native Tessa Stamps. They have no children but do have one ornery cat.

Brian Jensen

Brian Jensen is a 21-year veteran sports broadcaster and a graduate of Texas Tech University. He has been a television anchor/reporter in the Dallas/Fort Worth market for the past 13 years - first with WFAA-TV and most recently as weekday 10 p.m. anchor with NBC5 (KXAS-TV). During his time in Dallas, Jensen has also hosted several sports radio shows, including a weekly call-in show at KLIF-AM and a number of Dallas Cowboys player shows for Sports Media, Inc.

2006 Red Raider Softball Color Commentator - Play by Play
Eric Quisenberry began broadcasting games his junior year of high school for his local Quanah Indian football and basketball teams. His "true freshman" experience with Texas Tech came as the color commentator for the 2005 Red Raider Soccer season. As journalism major at Tech, Eric plans to become even more involved with broadcasting Red Raider sports.

Matt Driskill

Red Raider Softball Color Commentator
Matt Driskill has been heavily involved in competitive athletics for many years as a public address announcer, coach, commissioner, and volleyball referee. Additionally, Driskill has done extensive broadcasting, video production, graphic design and webpage development for the Frenship ISD Softball program since 2003. Driskill began broadcasting Lubbock Christian University Basketball in the fall of 2005, before joining the Texas Tech Sports Network in the spring of 2006 announcing Texas Tech Softball and this fall begins his first year as the play by play voice of Texas Tech Volleyball. Driskill is a graduate of Texas Tech University and resides in Lubbock with his wife of 25 years, Genene, and two daughters, Ashley and Chelsey.
