LUBBOCK, Texas - A pair of Texas Tech women's relay teams ran in the preliminaries of the 107th Penn Relays Thursday afternoon.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Ngozi Iwu, Melonie Barrow, D'Andria Brigham and Rachelle Evans posted a time of 3:40.13 in the preliminaries earlty Thursday evening.

Monique Wright-Cruse, Tami Zachary, Evans and Tiffany Green did not finish their heat in the 4x100-meter relay.

The 4x400-meter squad would run in the finals of the event on Saturday if they qualify. The rest of the Tech squad is using this week to prepare for next week's dual meet against Oklahoma at R.P. Fuller Stadium on the Tech campus on May 5.
