LUBBOCK, Texas - For the first time in the history of Texas Tech University, the Track & Field Big 12 Freshman of the Year award will be presented to Tiffany Green. The presenter is long time track & field legend Gail Devers.

Devers will present the award to Green after the third quarter of the Texas Tech Homecoming football game against Kansas on Saturday. Green was the sprint champion in both the 100 meters and 200 meters last year at the Big 12 Championships.

"This is an exciting time for our track program here at Texas Tech and I am so proud of Tiffany, said head coach Wes Kittley. "It is an honor to have Gail Devers come in and present this outstanding award to Tiffany."
