2008 OUTDOOR: Earned her second All-American honor in the discus by finishing third at the NCAA Championships with a throw of 181'-07" ... broke the school record in the discus with a throw of 189'-05" and winning the Oklahoma Invitational ... won the Big 12 Championships for the first time throwing 189'-01" ... won the discus seven times at various meets ... threw a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 52'-8.25".

2008 INDOOR: Threw the shot put in four meets ... threw a NCAA provisional mark of 52'-01" at eth Texas Tech Invitational ... recorded a personal best throw of 52'-8.25" at the Tyson Invitational.

2007 OUTDOOR: Named All-American in the discus throw ... competed in the shot put throwing a personal best of 44'-10.25" at the TCU Invite ... earned all-conference honors by throwing a 175'-8" in the discus at the Big 12 Championships ... finished the season sixth in the nation in the discus, marking a 174'-5" at the NCAA Championships.

2007 INDOOR: Threw in five meets ... was All-Big 12 in the shot put ... placed second at the Texas Tech Invitational and the Texas Tech Open with throws of 45'-5.75" and 45'-3", respectively ... threw a personal best of 48'-9", good for a seventh place finish at the Big 12 Championships.

2006 Outdoor: In her freshman campaign received Big 12 honors in the discus...threw a NCAA regional qualifying mark and personal best of 179'-5" at the Big 12 Championships, placing 3rd and also setting a new school record...placed first in three different meets throughout the season and ended participating in the NCAA Championships placing 13th...also threw the shot put in two meets during the season, marking a personal best of 44'-6.75" at the UTEP Invite placing sixth.

2006 Indoor: Threw progressively better each meet ... in the shot put, she went from throwing a 40'-8.75" at the Wes Kittley 6Way to a 46'-4" and placing third in the Wes Kittley Open ... ended the season marking a personal-best of 47'-2.5" at the Big 12 Championships, good for an eighth-place finish and all-conference honors ... in the weight throw, she began with a 37'-11.5" at the Wes Kittley Invite and posted a personal-best of 47'-1.5" and placing fifth at the Wes Kittley Open.

High School: A 2005 graduate of Red Oak High in Red Oak, Texas ... participated in track and field ... led her team to two state championships ... named all-district and All-American ... personal-best is 168' in discus and 46' in shot put ... all-time discus throw leader in Texas high school history with a mark of 165'-8".

Personal: Born June 17, 1987 in California... daughter of Michael and Sandra Carter ... has two siblings, Michelle and Michael Jr. ... father was an All-American thrower at SMU and an Olympic medallist ... sister, Michelle, is an All-American thrower at Texas ... enjoys basketball, reading and talking ... hopes to be a lawyer ... majoring in broadcast journalism.
