2009 OUTDOOR: Named All-Big 12 in high jump clearing a season best of 5'-7.75" ... won two other meets on the season at Texas Tech Open and Texas Tech Invitational.

2009 INDOOR: Earned all-confernce for finishing fifth clearing 5'-6" ... season best jump of 5'-7.75".

LEXINGTON HS: Played volleyball, basketball, tennis and track & field ... qualified for playoffs in basketball four straight years ... named all-district newcomer of the year, all-district player of the year, all-district offensive player of the year and all-district MVP in basketball during her four years ... regional qualifier in the 400M and high jump as a sophomore, regional champion in the high jump and state runner-up in the high jump as a junior, and regional and state champion in high jump as a senior ... four year all-district and all-Centx ... two-time all-state , All-American honorable mention, Central Texas # 1 Athlete of the Year, trained for the USA National Volleyball team.

PERSONAL: Born May 5, 1990 to Sam and Rhonda Dowdy ... has two brothers Sam and Dan and a late sister Michelle ... majoring in sports medicine/physical therapy with a minor in nutrition ... plans to earn a master's degree in physical therapy and work for a professional team while continuing to play volleyball competitively.
