Todd Faison enters his third year as the athletic trainer for the Texas Tech men's and women's track teams. Before coming to Tech he spent two years as the assistant athletic trainer for Estacado High in Lubbock. During the summer of 2006, Faison served as the head trainer for the Weatherford Wranglers of the Texas Collegiate Baseball League.
Prior to his stint as the trainer at his former high school in Lubbock, Faison worked as the head athletic trainer at George Bush High in Houston, Texas, for four years. The Lubbock, Texas, native served a summer internship for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following his college graduation in the summer of 2001.
A licensed and certified athletic trainer, Faison is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association (SWATA), as well as the Texas State Athletic Trainers Association (TSATA).
Faison, born and raised in Lubbock, graduated from Estacado High in 1996 and attended Texas Tech University, graduating in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in exercise & sports science with an emphasis on athletic training. Faison earned his master's degree in education from the University of Houston-Victoria in 2004.
