2002 OUTDOOR: Ran the third leg on the 4x400 relay with a split time of 46.2, was second in his heat of the 400 with a time of 48.50 but did not make the finals at the Big 12 Championships (5/18)...ran for the first time in over a month at the ACU Open (5/9) where he took first in the 400 with a time of 48.12...helped Tech to a 1-2-3 sweep with a time of 46.59 in the 400m, good enough for a 3rd place finish at the Texas Tech Invitational (3/28)...finished 3rd in the 400m (47.55) at the Longhorn Invitational (3/23).

2002 INDOOR: Alternate for the 4x400 relay that placed 8th at Nationals...ran the third leg of the 4x400 relay team that placed 6th at the ISU Last Chance (3/1)...ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 team that finished 4th at the Big 12 Championships (2/23)...ran a heat time of 48.79 in the 400 at the Big 12 Championships...finished the 400 at the Texas Tech Classic (1/25) with a time of 48.99...ran a 48.84 400 as he finished 4th in the 400 at the Texas Tech Open (1/19).

HIGH SCHOOL: 2001 graduate of Cleveland High School in Reseada, Calif...ran track under Richard Rucker and Kenny Mitchell...was member of Los Angeles city champion 4x100, 4x400 relay in 2000...4x4 relay repeated as LA city champs in 2001...two-time LA city champ in the 400, 2000-01...2001 state champion in the 400...all-state selection in 2000 and 2001...has personal best times of 10.51 in the 100, 21.03 in the 200 and 47.03 in the 400...1997 Jr. Olympic champion in the 400 and as a member of a 4x100 relay.
