Tech Set For Competition at NCAA Outdoor Championships

Red Raiders, No. 17 Lady Raiders begin competition Wednesday in Eugene, Ore.

2006 Outdoor: Participated in three events throughout the season...received All-Conference honors in the long jump with a personal best and NCAA regional qualifying mark of 20'-11.25", placing her fourth at the Big 12 Championships...ended the season placing 10th at the NCAA Championships jumping 20'-5.75"...was a leg of the 4x400M at the Wes Kittley Open with a team time of 4:00.82, placing second.

2006 Indoor: Posted personal-bests in three events ... ran a prelim time of 7.31 in the 55M at the Wes Kittley 6Way and a 7.90 in the 60M at the UNM Invite ... marked a jump of 19'-6" at the Tyson Invite, making her second on the team in the event.

High School: A 2005 graduate of Lufkin High in Lufkin, Texas ... participated in varsity basketball and track and field ... led her track team to the district championship in 2004 ... was the long jump state champion in 2004-2005 ... personal-best in long jump is 20'-8" ... posts 39'-10" in the triple jump.

Personal: Born December 29 in Lufkin, Texas ... daughter of Woodie and Brenda Taylor ... has eight siblings ... enjoys spending time with family and friends ... majoring in psychology.
