2003 OUTDOOR: Competed in both the discus and shot put, competing at the Big 12 Championships in both events ... started season with four first-place finishes in the discus, all regional qualifying marks ... threw for 156’-0” (47.55m) at the UTEP Invitational ... finished in 10th at the Drake Relays with a mark of 149’-1” (45.44) ... set a school record and tabbed another regional qualifying time with a distance of 169’-3” (51.59m) at the Texas Tech Open, finishing in first ... finished in 14th at the Big 12 Championships ... wrapped up season with an 11th place finish at the Midwest Regional, 152’-1” (46.37) ... started season with a first-place finish at the Texas Tech Invitational with a distance of 44’-5.25” (13.54m) in the shot put ... logged back to back meets with gold finishes at the Texas Tech Open and the ACU Open ... threw for 43’-10.75” (13.38m) and 45’-2.25” (13.77m), respectively ... turned in a 14th place finish at the Big 12 Championships with a mark of 40’-1.5” (12.23m).

2003 INDOOR: Tech’s top competitor in the shot put ... started off season with a second-place finish at the Red Raider Open with a distance of 43’-5.25” (13.24m) ... had a season best mark of 44’-10.25” (13.67m) at the Red Raider Classic for a first-place finish ... had back to back throws of 44’-8.25” (13.62m) at the Husker Invitational, seventh, and Big 12 Championship, 10th.

2002 OUTDOOR: All-conference in the discus...named to the 2002 Academic All-Big 12 first team with a 4.0 GPA...a solid thrower placing first in back-to-back meets in both the shot and the discus throws...threw the shot 45’-8.5” (13.93m) and the discus 158’-00” (48.18m) at the ACU Open ...ran the table with a heave of 45’-8” (13.93m) in the shot and a fling of 159’-10” (48.76m) at the Texas Tech Open ...placed sixth in the shot put with a distance of 44’-4” (13.83m), and grabbed first-place with a throw of 148’-9” (45.38m) in the discus at the Michael Johnson/SW Bell Classic ...led the competition with a first-place finish and a distance of 45’-5.25” (13.86m) in the shot put, and placed fifth in the discus at the UTEP Invitational ... earned a fourth-place finish in the discus and muscled in a first-place, with a distance of 44’-7” (13.60m) in the shot put at the Longhorn Invitational.

2002 INDOOR: All-conference in the shot put...had a season best throw of 45’-10.75” (13.68m) in the shot put at the Big 12 Championships ...recorded a first-place toss of 43’-1.5” (13.14m) in the shot put and a second-place throw of 39’-6” (12.04m) in the weight throw at the Texas Tech Open ...won the shot put and placed second in the weight throw at the Texas Tech Early Bird.

2001 OUTDOOR: Placed second in shot at UTEP Invitational with a toss of 43’-7” (13.29m)…placed third in discus at TCU Invitational with a mark of 146’-2” (44.55m) …took third in shot at Tech vs. Oklahoma with a mark of 42’-3.25” (13.19m)…took first in the shot at ACU T&F Classic with a mark of 43’-9.75” (13.35m) and second in discus at ACU T&F Classic with a toss of 147’-10” (45.09m).

2001 INDOOR: Posted a mark of 42’-8” (13.01m) in shot at Oklahoma Classic …took second in weight throw at Red Raider Classic with a toss of 42’-4” (12.91m) .

2000: Redshirt season, competing in meets unattached.

HIGH SCHOOL: 1999 graduate of Llano High School in Llano, Texas…named academic all-district in track and basketball for three years…also named academic all-state…regional finalist in shot put and discus...personal-best throws of 41’-5” (12.62m) in shot put and 125’-0” (38.14m) in discus.

PERSONAL: Born October 29, 1980, in Austin, Texas…daughter of Paul and IdaNell Schuessler…both parents are graduates of Southwest Texas State …has one brother, Eric…Exercise and Sports Science major.
