Two top five finishes in the 5000M, placing second at the Alex Wilson Invite (3/8/11) with a time of 16:19.78 and finishing fourth at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 16:23.96.

CENTRAL ARIZONA
Claimed the Junior College National Championship in cross country in 2008 before earning runner-up honors in 2009 to lead the Vaqueras to the NJCAA Cross Country National Championship ... Tanui, who hails from Burt Forest, Kenya, also claimed national championship accolades in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters at Central Arizona in 2009 ...
