Former Lady Raider Tori Polk won the women's long jump title Saturday in Albuquerque


2006 INDOOR: In the long jump, set a personal-best jump, a new school record, and a NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 21'-2.75" at the UNM Invite ... also marked a NCAA provisional jump of 20'-11.75" at the Tyson Invite ... finished the season marking a 19'-9.75" at the Big 12 Championships, good for all-conference honors ... ran a personal-best time of 56.29 in the 400M at the Wes Kittley Open.

2005 OUTDOOR: All-American in the long jump ... finished sixth at the NCAA Championships with a jump of 20'-6.5" ... two-time all-region performer in the long jump and 4x400M relay ... at the Midwest Regional, finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 20'-7.75" and helped the 4x400M relay to a second-place finish in a time of 3:29.94 ... broke the school record in the long jump with a mark of 20'-9.25" at the TCU Invitational ... as a member of the 4x400M relay, helped team to a third-place finish at Penn Relays in 3:29.70 ... at Texas Relay, helped 4x400M relay finish fourth in a time of 3:32.38 ... earned three regional qualifying marks in the long jump, including a mark of 20'-5.75" at the Mt. SAC Relays.

2005 INDOOR: Three-time all-conference in the long jump, 4x400M and DMR relays ... set a school record and a new personal best with her leap of 19'-11.5" in the long jump at the Big 12 Championships, good for a fourth-place finish and all-conference honors ... marked a jump of 19'-6.75" at the Wes Kittley Invite ... 4x400M ... ran with the group that clocked three provisional qualifying times ... season-best time of 3:35.11 came at the Tyson Invitational ... ran a 3:36.92 at the Big 12 Championships, good for a third-place finish and all-conference honors ... DMR ... ran with the team that registered a time of 11:35.48 at the Big 12 Championships ... team finished in fourth place and earned all-conference honors.

2004 OUTDOOR: Competed in the 200M, 400M, long jump and as a member of the 4x100M and 4x400M relay teams ... All-American in the 4x400 of which time was a school record ... all-region in the 4x400 ... at the UTEP Invitational, marked a mark of 19'-10.75" ... jumped 18'-8" at the TTU Invitational for a second-place finish as a member of the 4x400M, team broke school record with a time of 3:31.25 in prelims then went on to break it again by almost two seconds with a time of 3:29.49 at Nationals ... finished fifth ... member of team who broke the then school record with a time of 3:34.14 at the Texas Relays for a fifth-place finish ... team finished third at Regionals to automatically qualify for Nationals with a time of 3:34.81.

2004 INDOOR: Competed in the long jump, triple jump and as a member of the 4x400 relay team ... All-American in the 4x400 ... relay team led women's team to a 45th-place finish at Nationals ... all-conference in the long jump ... had a then-career best jump of 19'-7.5" at the Texas Tech Quad for a second- place finish ... finished eighth at the Big 12 Championships with a mark of 18'-10.75" ... as a member of the 4x400M, wrapped up season with an indoor as well as outdoor school record time of 3:33.85 ... time was team's only automatic qualifying time as well as seventh-best time in the nation ... finished seventh at Nationals with a time of 3:34.93, second fastest time in school history.

2003 OUTDOOR: Made three appearances in the 400M with a season best time of 55.68 at theTexas Tech Open for a second-place finish ... ran the first leg of the 4x400 relay in two meets including a fourth- place finish at the Midwest Regional with a time of 3:35.51 ... time was second best in school history only to be surpassed by team's next appearance ... team advanced to NCAA Championships where it ran a 3:34.95.

2003 INDOOR: Competed in five meets on the season in long jump including a second-place finish at the Red Raider Classic with a mark of 19'-1.25" ... capped off season with a 13th place finish at the Big 12 Championship with a distance of 18'-7" ... as a member of the 4x400 relay team, helped team turn in two gold finishes at the Red Raider Classic and Husker Invitational.

HIGH SCHOOL: 2002 graduate of Midway high school ... competed in track and field ... three-time state qualifier in the long jump ... two-time state runner-up in the in long jump ... four-time regional qualifier in both the 200M and long jump ... four-time district champion in the 200M and the long jump ... competed at the 2002 state meet and scored in the long jump and 200M.

PERSONAL: Born 9-21-83 ... daughter of Carl and Dianna Polk ... father works at Oncor electric ... mother works at the V.A. regional office ... has three older sisters, Kinet, LaToishia and Kaneshia Haywood and two older brothers Adrian and Carl Jr. ... sister, Kaneshia, competed in track and field at Tech ... hobbies include listening to music and meeting new people ... majoring in accounting.
