Lady Raider 4x400 Relay Team Runs Season-Best Time at Iowa State NCAA Qualifier

AMES, Iowa - The No. 23 Lady Raider's 4x400 relay team ran a season-best time at the Iowa State NCAA Qualifier Saturday afternoon. The squad, comprised of Taylor Evans, Candace Jackson, Erica Alexander and Olivia Lewis, ran a time of 3:34.51 which ranks second in school history. The time currently ranks No. 11 in the country. The Lady Raiders have now ran a season-best time for the second consecutive week. At the Big 12 Indoor Championships last weekend, the squad ran a time of 3:34.63. Senior Shane Brathwaite equaled his season-best time of 7.77 to capture a win in the finals of the men's 60 meter hurdles. The time currently ranks No. 15 in the country. In the women's long jump senior transfer Precious Nwokey captured a win with a jump of 19'-6.00". The jump was her second best of the season. Jackson also captured a win with a time of 54.06 in the women's 400 meter dash. The time was her second-best performance of the season. Both the men's and women's teams will await the selections to the national indoor meet which are set to be announced by the NCAA Monday.
