LUBBOCK, Texas - With a time of 3:33.85, the women's 4x400 team set not only a school record but the team's first automatic qualifying mark of the season at the ISU Last Chance today in Ames, Iowa. The team of sophomore Tori Polk, junior Shereefa Lloyd, senior Rachelle Evans and junior Licretia Sibley turned in two provisional qualifying marks this season with a best including a then-school record 3:37.04.

Freshman Lacy Wilson finished second at the meet with a height of 5'-7" (1.72m). Wilson set a career best and school record this season at the Texas Tech Quad of 5'-10.75", which provisionally qualified her for Nationals.

Junior Jared Thornhill and freshman Sage Thames round out Tech's competitors at the Last Chance. Both clearing a height of 16'-6" (5.05m), Thornhill and Thames tied for seventh. Thornhill provisionally qualified earlier this season with a first place finish at the Tyson Invitational with a mark of 17'-5".

The NCAAs held March 12-13 in Fayetteville, Ark., will take all automatic qualifiers and fill in the remaining field with the nation's top provisional marks. The remaining field will be released early next week. Complete results can be found at www.cylcones.com.
