June 22, 2006
Lubbock, Texas - Members of Tech track and former Red Raiders completed competition at day two of the 2006 AT&T USA Outdoor Championships, in Indianapolis today. A one-hour rain delay affected many events and postponed the running events on the track.
Bryan Scott concluded his standout 2006 season with the prelims of the 400M hurdles. Scott, a 2006 All-American in the event, clocked 51.01 and finished 19th overall. The Lubbock native missed advancing to the next round by three places.
2004 Olympian Jonathan Johnson, running for Reebok, missed qualifying for the semifinals of the 800M with a time of 1:48.77. Johnson finished 20th overall in the field of 40.
Former Lady Raider, now running unattached, Licretia Sibley finished sixth in her heat and 15th overall with her time of 52.38 in the prelims of the 400M. Sibley, a three-time All-American, will run in the semifinals of the event on Friday.
Tyree Gailes, who also runs for Reebok, was scheduled to run in the prelims of the 100M this evening, but the event was rescheduled, due to inclement weather, for 10:45 a.m. on Friday.
