LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech track and field has added a new member to its coaching staff as former TCU All-American Roy Williams joins the staff to coach the sprints and relays.

Williams spent the last three years at the University of Texas at Arlington as the associate head coach of sprints, relays, jumps and hurdles. He coached an Olympic qualifier in the 200M and 4x100M relay and an All-American in the 110M hurdles.

Prior to UTA he was head track and cross country coach at All Saints Episcopal High School in Ft. Worth, Texas, and founded the Flyin' Frog Track Club. He has coached several UIL and TAAF state champions and several of his athletes earned track scholarships.

Some of his individual accomplishments include being a two-time Olympic Trials qualifier, four-time All-American and 13-time all-conference runner while at TCU.
