Head Coach Wes Kittley

On the overall impression on the meet:

"On the women's side, I was a little disapointed. I thought we could have scored close to 80-90 points. We had Kelly [Closse] yesterday do a great job. Candace [Jackson] did a real good job today in the 400 meter. The 4x400 team ran better. But overall, I just felt like our kids didn't compete as well as we could have today."

On the 4x400 team performances:

"The 4x400, we are running with the Top 3 teams in the country. Our girls just competed tremendously today. We got in there and fought from the beginning to the end. I can't ask for any more than that. We will run again this weekend for last chance. We came close to automatically qualifying. We were really close and hopefully we can do that in this next meet."

On Precious Nwokey's performance:

"Precious gave us everything she had. Yesterday she got some points, and turned around today and ran the 60 meter hurdles. She just did a fabulous job for us."

On the men's performance:

"Kole [Weldon] just continues to improve. Our conference is one of the toughest in the shot put that there is. He got in there and competed hard. I felt like Isaiah Gill had kind of a break through meet for him. He was competative and aggressive."

On Michael Menefield's performance:

"He hasn't worked out in two months and just came out here and was tough. He just came out and competed. He's a competitor. I was real proud of Mike."
