LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech senior distance runner Kennedy Kithuka has officially been tabbed to the 2013 Men's Bowerman Post-Indoor Watch List as announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Wednesday.

Kithuka, the most decorated men's distance runner in school history, won the 2013 NCAA Indoor 5,000-meter championship last weekend to cap off his remarkable senior campaign.

The Thika, Kenya native also finished ninth in the men's 3,000-meter run at the national meet. Kithuka won six of seven races this season while breaking three individual school records and the men's distance medley school record in the process. Kithuka also captured Big 12 Championships in each the 5,000-meter run and 3,000-meter run.

Kithuka went undefeated during the 2012 cross country seasons on his way to winning both the NCAA Cross Country title as well as the Big 12 Cross Country title.

The Bowerman is awarded annually to the top collegiate athlete in both men's and women's track and field. Kithuka is one of just two Big 12 athletes tabbed to the post-indoor list.
