LUBBOCK, Texas - The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the official NCAA All-America honorees for the 2014 indoor season today.

Texas Tech was represented by junior JaCorian Duffield and sophomore Bradley Adkins on the First Team as the duo tied for fifth place in the high jump competition.

Meanwhile, junior Kole Weldon, junior Cierra White, sophomore Shanice Stewart, sophomore Le'Tristan Pledger and members of the Lady Raider 4x400 relay team were named to the Second Team.

Duffield and Adkins each cleared 2.20-meters (7'-2.50") on their first attempt in the high jump competition en route to becoming the first duo from the same program to finish in the top-5 at the NCAA Indoor Championships in 15 years.

It marks the second consecutive First Team All-America honor for Duffield who finished seventh as a sophomore at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. He is the first two-time All-America high jumper in program history, and finished runner-up at the Big 12 Indoor Championships this year.

Meanwhile, it marks the first career All-America honor for Adkins who was a national qualifier for the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships and finished third at the Big 12 Indoor Championships this year.

The Lady Raider 4x400 relay, which won the program's first Big 12 Championship earlier this season, is comprised of Amoy Blake, Christen Rivers, Montenae Roye-Speight and Cierra White

Pledger, who was named the 2014 Mountain Region Track Athlete of the Year, finished ninth in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles and 12th in the long jump. Teammate Shanice Stewart finished 11th in the long jump.

White, the 2013 Big 12 100-meter Champion, finished 12th in the preliminaries of the 200-meter dash.

Texas Tech opens the 2014 outdoor season this weekend at the UTSA Invitational.
