LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech track program earned its second-straight Big 12 Athlete of the Week as Patience Knight was named Big 12 Co-Female Athlete of the Week for her performance at the ACU Invitational held in Abilene, Texas.

The three-time All American won both the shot put and discus in her first competition with NCAA Regional marks. Her mark of 53'-11.25" in the shot put ranks her second nationally and her discus throw of 164'-08" is ninth in the nation. It is the second week that a Tech student-athlete has won the award as D'Andra Carter won it a week ago.

Knight and the rest of the Texas tech track team will head to Austin, Texas this weekend for the Texas Relays starting on Thursday.
