Tech Distance Crew Heads West|
Texas Tech distance runners will compete at both San Francisco State and Stanford Friday.

LUBBOCK, Texas - A crop of Texas Tech distance runners will head west for competition at both the San Francisco State Distance Carnival and the Stanford Invitational Friday.
Three Red Raiders and four Lady Raiders are scheduled to compete at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival while Lady Raider Sharlene Nickle will compete at the Stanford Invitational in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 5 p.m. (PST).
Senior Red Raider Brendan Devlin will open competition for the Red Raiders in San Francisco in the 10,000-meter run scheduled for 9:10 a.m.
Lady Raider McKenzie Archer will follow in the women's section of the 1,500-meter run scheduled for a 10:25 a.m. start. Teammate Chelsea Scott will follow in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase at 11:55.
Texas Tech will host its first home outdoor meet of the 2014 season Saturday as the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders host the Texas Tech Open at the Terry and Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex.
