LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 13 Lady Raiders and No. 14 Red Raiders host their first home outdoor meet of the 2013 season Saturday as the two squads compete in the annual Texas Tech Open at the Terry and Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex.
Field events begin at 10:30 a.m. with running events slated for 3 p.m. on the track. The single day meet is the first of two on the home schedule for the Texas Tech track and field program with the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders returning to Lubbock for the final time in 2013 on April 25.
"I'm excited to be at home," head coach Wes Kittley said. "We have such great performances here. If you look at the school records and results from last year, some of the best marks are from here at home. We love running and competing at home.
