Four Texas Tech athletes were named to the USTFCCCA All-America First Team Monday.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech officially placed 13 athletes on the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America Team Monday.
Four Texas Tech athletes were named to the First Team after finishing among the Top-8 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships held June 5-8 at Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The First Team honorees included sophomore JaCorian Duffield (high jump), senior Isaiah Gill (400-meter hurdles), sophomore Kole Weldon (shot put) and sophomore Cierra White (100-meter dash).
The three Red Raiders named to the All-America First Team helped Texas Tech to earn its fourth-consecutive Top-25 finish at the national meet where they tied for 24th with 10 points in the men's standings.
White and Weldon both earned All-America honors in multiple events. Weldon earned first team honors finishing third overall in the shot put, while also earning second team honors in the discus. White finished sixth overall in the 100-meter dash to earn first team honors while earning second team honors in the 200-meter dash.
For the fourth consecutive season the Lady Raider 4x400 Relay earned All-America honors as the squad was named to the second team.
Meanwhile, the Lady Raider 4x100 along with freshmen Bradley Adkins (high jump), Le'Tristan Pledger (100-meter hurdles) and sophomore Christen Rivers (400m) earned Honorable Mention from the USTFCCCA.
