LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Athletics Department invites fans to join the Red Raider Club for a reception and autograph session honoring Tech's new Olympian Jonathan Johnson Tues., July 20, at the Westside Stadium Club and Suite Facility.

Johnson, a native of Abilene, Texas, captured the 800-meter title at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials in Sacramento, Calif, last Monday. He will now compete in the 800m at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece.

The event is free and will begin at 5:30 p.m. for suite and club seat holders, with the general public welcome at 6 p.m. The first 300 guests will receive a picture to get autographed by Johnson.

Come hear head coach Wes Kittley on the entire experience and what is to come for Johnson and the Texas Tech track program. Join the athletics department in wishing Johnson the best of luck in Athens.
