Tech Track Inks Three on First Day|

Lubbock, Texas - Wes Kittley, Texas Tech track and field head coach, announced the signing of three student-athletes for the 2006-2007 season. Joining the team will be three in the sprints and hurdles groups.
Jonisha Boleware, the first to sign, is a native of Lancaster, Texas and attends Lancaster high school. She concentrates on the 100M and the 200M and also participates on the 4x400M relay. She has personal bests of 11.76 in the 100M and 23.93 in the 200M. She placed second in the 200M at the 2005 4A state meet with a her PR 23.93.
Darryl Burgess, a native of Miami, Florida, signed a Statement of Financial Aid and will attend Tech in January, 2006. Burgess, a transfer from South Plains, was the 2005 Junior College National Champion in the 110M hurdles with a time of 13.46. His personal best is a 13.41.
Emily Chambliss, a native of Flower Mound, Texas, will join the squad as a member of the sprints and hurdles group. Chambliss, a standout at Flower Mound high school, has a personal best of 15.4 in the 100M hurdles, 45.22 in the 300M hurdles and a 58.20 in the 400M.
