The No. 22 Lady Raiders won the Texas Tech Cross Country for the fourth-straight season and the Red Raiders were impressive with a second place finish at Meadowbrook Golf Course.

Rose Tanui once again led the way for the Lady Raiders as she won the Texas Tech Cross Country Open for the second-straight year in a time of 17:44.78. Teammate Caroline Jepleting placed second with an improved time of 18:00.47.

Tech took the top four spots as Purity Biwott crossed in third and Devin Bailey hit the tape in fourth. Biwott ran a 18:26.81 and Bailey finished in 19:15.27.

The fifth runner for Tech was Rachel Folan who clocked a 20:02.62. Chelsea Scott finished in 17th to give Tech six in the top 20. Scott ran a time of 20:25.84. The Lady Raiders totaled 20 points beating second place Incarnate Word by 57 points.

The Red Raiders placed second in a field of 11 teams with 96 points. New Mexico Highlands took the men's title with 35 points.

The top finisher for Tech was Valentino Julien. Julien ran a 26:14.88 to place 10th. Reid Strong was not far behind in 13th place. The sophomore ran a 26:40.72.

Brendan Devlin (18th) and Kade Parker (20th) both finished in the top 20 for Tech with times of 26:40.72 and 26:54.69, respectively.

The fifth runner for the Red Raiders was Kory Mauritsen, who crossed the line in 44th. He stopped the clock in a time of 28:03.17.

Tech's next meet will be on September 30 in Austin, Texas, at the Grass Routes Run Festival.
