LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's men cross country team placed eighth in a loaded field at the Cowboy Jamboree hosted by Oklahoma State on Saturday morning.

Sophomore Gilbert Limo was the top Red Raider as he ran the 8K course in a time of 24:24 to finish in 10th place. Junior Cory Higgins crossed the line in 53rd place in a time of 26:02. Sophomore Logan Culotta was the third Red Raider as he ran a time of 26:13 and finishing 60th.

Junior Jake Szot ran a 26:37 to place 68th and freshman Nathan Milles finished 83rd in a time of 26:56. Freshman Zach Dawson was right behind Milles in 84th place in a time of 26:57.

Other Red Raiders running included freshman James Rodriguez ran a time of 27:31 to finish 141st. Sophomore Jeremy Kight finished 144th in a time of 27:32 and freshman Aaron Greer ran a time of 27:36 to place 150th. Sophomore David Boston finished 159th with a time of 27:46 and senior Eric Ayala ran a 27:51 to finish 166th. Senior Noel Conrad finished 196th in a time of 28:39 and freshman Will Brewer ran a 29:40 to place 224th.

The Lady Raiders finished in 25th place as a team. Sophomore Kayla Sayegh was the first to cross the line as she ran a time of 24:34 in 134th place. Freshman Shannon Jackson ran a 24:42 over the 6K course to place 129th. Sophomore Tori Epperson placed 150th in a time of 26:00 and junior Michelle Edman was right behind Epperson as she ran a 26:01 to finish 151st. Sophomore Kaci Westervelt ran a time of 26:53 to finish 157th and freshman Amanda McKeehan palced 161st in a time of 27:25.

 

 

The Red Raiders and Lady Raiders next race will be the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark. on Oct., 18th.
