Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech cross country completed the 2005 season with the NCAA Championships, in Terre Haute, Ind., today. Kevin Chelimo, Violet Chemakwila and Irene Kimaiyo represented the Red Raiders.

Chelimo finished in 38th place in a field of 253 runners. He clocked a time of 30:21.4 in the 10K race. Simon Bairu of Wisconsin won the individual title and Wisconsin will bring home the team title.

Chemakwila clocked a time of 20:36.6 in the women's 6K race, good for a 44th-place finish in the field of 253. Kimaiyo finished in 200th place with her time of 22:06.4. Johanna Nilsson of Northern Arizona captured the individual title while Stanford won the team title.
