LUBBOCK, Texas - The U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2007 season Division I polls today. The Texas Tech women's squad ranked 25th in the national poll.

The Red Raiders followed Oregon with 111 points, while Tech marked a total of 97 points. Only three Big 12 teams (Tech, Colorado and Baylor) placed in the Top 30 rankings. Colorado led the conference with a third place, while Baylor followed in 22nd.

Stanford opens the 2007 cross country season with the top ranking in the country in the Division I. Stanford is the two-time defending NCAA champion.
