LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech cross country teams will travel to Odessa, Texas, for the UT- Permian Basin Fourth Annual Invitational held Sat., Oct. 6 at the Commanche Trails course.

The Tech men will look to place higher than last weekend's 11th place finish at the Paul Short Invite and the 24th ranked women look to build on its three- top- three finishes. The men's squad will consist of 10 runners, while the women will race with five. The two squads will run in the weekend's invite in preparation for the Arkansas' Chile Pepper Invitational held Oct. 13.

The race will begin at 10 a.m. for the women and the men will set underway at 10:45 a.m. CT Saturday.

Texas Tech will host the 2007 Big 12 Cross Country Championships Oct. 26 at the Jerry S. Rawls Course.
