LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech cross country program is set to compete again this weekend as the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders travel to Arkansas for the 25th Annual Chile Pepper Festival set for Saturday in Fayetteville.
The men's 8,000 meter race is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. followed by the women's race at 10:20 a.m.
Texas Tech is coming off an impressive performance at the 2013 OSU Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater where the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders both earned top-5 finishes. The Lady Raiders are led by junior newcomer Sharlene Nickle who finished in the top-10 at the Cowboy Jamboree last week crossing with a season-best time of 18:20.74 in the 5,000-meter race.
