LUBBOCK, Texas -The Texas Tech cross country squads travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Chile Pepper Festival on Sat. Oct. 16th, as the men will run a 10K and the women follow with a 6K.

For the first time this season the No. 29 Lady Raiders have their full squad running at the Chile Pepper. Senior Sally Kipyego is the two-time defending champion of the Chile Pepper and is competing in her first meet of the season. No. 10 Arkansas is the top-ranked team on the women's side and should provide good competition for the Lady Raiders.

The Red Raiders run against fellow Big 12 foes Baylor, Nebraska, Oklahoma and No. 20 Texas A&M. Sophomore Gilbert Limo will try to place in the top 10 for the fourth-straight meet and help the Red Raiders improve before the Big 12 Championships.

The men's race starts at 9:45 a.m. and the women's race begins at 10:30 a.m.
