LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech's women's cross country team was honored today by the USTFCCCA, in its announcement of this year's All-Regional teams. Three of Tech's top women runners were recognized for their efforts.

Red Raiders Sally Kipyego, Irene Kimaiyo and Gladys Kipsang were three of the 24 Big 12 women athletes who were selected to the All-Region team.

On the men's squad, Edwin Sang was the only male Red Raider to earn regional honors. He was one of 29 Big 12 male athletes to make the team.

The Big 12 Conference's 24 selections were behind the ACC with 29 runners on the men's side and 24 on the women's.

All-Region honors are given to athletes who finish in the top 25 at their respective regional meet and whose teams are a member of the USTFCCCA.
