Texas Tech Signs 13 Student-Athletes

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech University baseball program and head coach Larry Hays signed 13 student-athletes to national letters-of-intent over the summer. Included in the group are four pitchers, eight native Texans, 10 transfer student-athletes and three true freshmen.

The 13 new members will be added to the 1997 Red Raider team that finished 46-14, won the Big XII Conference and hosted a baseball regional for the second year in a row.

Fall baseball practice runs from September 8-October 11. Practices generally begin at 2:30 with Wednesdays off.
