Two Tech players- senior second baseman Keith Ginter and sophomore catcher Josh Bard were named to the Sporting News Preseason All America Second Team. Texas Tech was one of three Big 12 Conference schools ranked in the poll. The other two were No. 8 Oklahoma State and No. 13 Oklahoma.
