Texas Tech Loses Game to Snow
LUBBOCK, Texas -- A day after dropping their season opener 10-1 to TCU, Texas Tech lost again Wednesday, but this "loss" wasn't quite as traumatic. By mid-morning it became evident that the swirling snow would be too much for each team to battle and the coaches agreed not to play.
Both teams will make up the a game in their own area. Texas Tech has added a second game against College of Southwest on March 25, at 7 p.m. at Dan Law Field. That will give the Red Raiders a fourth game against non-division schools.
The Raiders are slated to play a three-game, three-day series with San Diego State Friday-Sunday. Larry Hays, Tech's head coach, said the weather forecast for playing Saturday's and Sunday's games appear bright, but the Friday game may be in danger.
