Red Raiders Down Horned Frogs

FORTH WORTH, Texas - The Texas Tech baseball team scored four unearned, ninth-inning runs to pull away from Texas Christian University and beat the host Horned Frogs 9-3 Tuesday at TCU Diamond.

Red Raiders pitcher David Therneau pitched a complete game, allowing three runs on seven hits. He struck out 11 as Texas Tech upped its record to 26-4. TCU fell to 17-15.

Offensively, Texas Tech was led by Keith Ginter's 2-for-5 day with one run scored and an RBI. Jess Olivares also had two hits, going 2-for-4 with three RBI an a run scored. Joe Dillon added a solo home run for Texas Tech.
