Kansas Defeats Red Raiders

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Collecting a just six hits, tying a season-low in the process, Texas Tech fell to Kansas, 5-3.

Three Jayhawks pitchers combined to limit the powerful Red Raider offense, although center fielder Jason Huth did smash his fourth home run of the year.

Monty Ward (6-2) started for Texas Tech, going 4 2/3 innings and allowing four runs, but just one was earned.

Josh Bard went 1-for-3 and drove in a run.

Joe DeMarco was 3-for-5 for Kansas, collecting two RBIs.
