Texas Tech Defeats Kansas State, 12-7
MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Texas Tech baseball team used a 15-hit attack to hold off Kansas State 12-7 Sunday.
The Red Raiders struck for three runs in the first inning and held a 8-0 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning.
Monty Ward pitched the first five and one third innings to pick up the win. He allowed four runs, but struck out 10 batters.
Brandon Toro led the offensive attack, going 2-for-4 with five RBI and three runs scored.
Tech returns to action at home Tuesday with a game against Nebraska.
