Enrolled at Lamar Community College in the fall of 2000 after receiving a scholarship from coaches Scott Crampton and Brian Conger?in his two seasons at Lamar his team went 106-17 and advanced to the Junior College World Series his last year?.was an All-Conference infielder both years and tallied a career total of 27 home runs?his final year at Lamar he hit .380 with 18 doubles and 17 home runs?was a member of the student senate while at Lamar.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played varsity baseball at Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado under head coach Scott Barr?was an All-Conference shortstop his senior season and was an honorable mention pick his sophomore year?also played hockey for 10 years and was a member of the 15, 16, and 17 national select teams.
