Honors: Honors: Honorable Mention All-Big 12 - Coaches ... Ended the 2009 season as Tech's top pitcher with a 6-1 record, seven saves and a 3.59 earned run average ... factored into 17 of Tech's 25 wins ... led the staff with 72 2/3 innings pitched and held opponents to a .272 batting average ... logged 58 strikeouts and issued 30 walks ... made 23 appearances and four starts ... pitched one complete game (at Oklahoma, April 11) ... IN BIG 12 PLAY ... was Tech's ace in the hole in conference play as he accumulated a 4-1 record with four saves along with a 3.91 ERA ... logged 48 innings and held opponents to just 21 earned runs ... factored into 11 of Tech's 12 league wins ... limited Southern Utah to two runs over 6 2/3 innings for the win in the season opener ... earned his first career save after going three innings against Gonzaga ... helped Tech to a conference series win against Nebraska, allowing no runs in two innings of relief in game one to earn his second save of the season, and turned around in game three to pitch 4 1/3 shutout innings of relief to earn the win ... led his team to a series finale win over Baylor striking out eight and only surrendering three earned runs in a career high eight innings of work ... limited Texas to one hit and no runs in three innings of relief in game two to earn his third save of the season ... logged 3 1/3 innings of relief allowing one earned run and striking out five to earn the save against New Mexico on March 31 ... appeared in three innings of relief only allowing one earned run in the series opener against the Aggies to earn the save ... recorded his sixth save of the season surrendering four earned runs in the series finale win over Texas A&M on April 5 ... pitched his first complete game in his career to earn the win over Oklahoma ... recorded a career-high nine strikeouts while only scattering four hits and allowing one run ... named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week on April 13 for his performance ... allowed a career-high 11 runs on 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings of relief in Tech's series-finale loss to Missouri ... recorded his seventh save of the season against Dallas Baptist on May 6 ... this save moves him into fourth place in the record books for career saves as a Red Raider ... delivered 2 2/3 innings of shutout ball while only giving up two hits to help lead Tech over Kansas State in the series opener ... remained undefeated for the season as he earned the win over Oklahoma State in the series opener after only surrendering one run on three hits in two innings of relief ... was charged with his first loss of the season in Tech's loss to Oklahoma State on May 17 after surrendering two runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief ... logged three innings of relief against No. 15 Missouri in the Big 12 Tournament and earned the win ... the win was Tech's first over the Tigers in 2009.

2008 SEASON
Turned in a solid freshman season and was Tech's top weekend starter all season long ... showed tremendous promise for the future with the Red Raiders by making 12 starts on the season, mostly as the Sunday starter in the weekend rotation ... finished the year with a 6.78 ERA but led the squad with 68 innings pitched ... IN BIG 12 PLAY ... went 2-5 in the league with an 8.03 ERA and led the pitching staff with 49 1/3 innings pitched ... struck out a season-best seven hitters against Northern Illinois on March 9 ... logged a season-high seven innings of work against Oklahoma on April 26 ... his freshman season led him to a spot in the prestigious Cape Cod summer league where he spent the summer with the Falmouth Commodores.
