Had his best season ever as a Red Raider during his junior year ... compiled a 1-2 record and a 4.70 ERA (ranked third on the team) ... was second on the team with 26 appearances and was Tech's top middle reliever ... logged 44 innings pitched while surrendering 44 hits, 26 runs (23 earned), 16 walks and struck out 36 ... IN BIG 12 PLAY ... was second on the team with a 5.76 ERA and a 1-2 record ... made 12 appearances and logged 25 innings of work ... won his first career game as a Red Raider against No. 2 Missouri on March 29 ... he held the Tigers scoreless in two innings of relief while striking out two ... set a new career-high for strikeouts in a single game when he fanned seven Aggie hitters at Texas A&M on March 14.

Went to the hill 13 times in 2007 and all in relief ... logged 22 2/3 innings and fnished the year with a 6.75 ERA ... 17 earned runs, 14 walks and 18 strikeouts ... longest outings of the season were a pair of 3 2/3 inning games at Texas and at home against New Mexico ... logged a season-high four strikeouts against the Longhorns on April 13.

Finished the season with a 0-0 record and a 2.76 ERA ... logged 16 1/3 innings all in relief ... allowed five earned runs and struck out nine ... tallied a pair of two-inning appearances against Texas Arlington in the Midland College Classic and at Nebraska.

Was a multi-sport standout at Lubbock Cooper High School where he played football, basketball, baseball and ran track ... baseball coach was Terry Baxter ... his senior season the Pirates advanced to the UIL Regional Quarterfinals in a year that capped off three consecutive district titles ... was a two-time All-District and All-City pitcher ... his senior year he was named to the All-South Plains team as the Pitcher of the Year ... had a combined record of 22-5 and averaged nine strikeouts per game.
