Ended the season with a .227 batting average, three doubles and seven RBI...One of three freshman to earn a starting job on opening day...Earned the start in center field (in replacement of an injured Brian Capps) in the series finale at Kansas...went 2-for-3 with two RBI in that game...Followed up a stellar game at Kansas with a 2-for-5 afternoon against New Mexico on April 11.

A 2005 graduate of Amphitheater High School in Tucson, Arizona...lettered in both baseball and basketball...was an All-District selection in 2003, 2004, and 2005...All-State Honorable Mention pick in '03 and '04...First-Team All-State selection his senior season...as a senior he hit .405 with 41 RBI, four home runs, nine triples and 13 doubles.
